You don’t need to attend weekly meetings – this role focuses on coordination, organisation and supporting leaders with administration. No previous Scouting experience needed.
Membership and Records
The team may help with:
- Managing joining lists
- Coordinating moving up between sections
- Supporting badge administration
- Keeping membership information up to date.
Good organisation helps ensure young people can move smoothly through the sections and receive the badges they have earned.
Supporting Sections
The team may also support section leaders by helping with:
- Section administration
- Coordinating meeting dates and venues
- Helping organise events and camps.
This support allows leaders to focus more on delivering activities for young people.
Volunteer and Group Administration
The team may also help with:
- Coordinating DBS checks
- Supporting new volunteer onboarding
- Helping manage subs and event payments.
Strong administration helps ensure the group runs efficiently and supports both volunteers and young people.
