Formal Beaver Uniform
Beavers wear a uniform during their weekly meetings indoors and sometimes on trips away, depending on where they’re going and what they’re doing. Usually, this consists of a blue jumper/Tipped Sweatshirt with their badges sewn on, which they pair with a scarf, known as a necker.
Alongside their blue jumper, Beavers wear black trousers, socks and shoes. Tracksuit bottoms, jeans, white socks and trainers should not be worn.
Wearing a uniform is comfy and practical. It means no one feels uncomfortable or left out and helps everyone feel part of the Beaver Group.
Uniform can bought from Scout Stores. If you’re not sure where to start, or could use a little help with uniform costs, fear not. Your Beaver leader can chat to you about options. The most important thing when you first arrive on your first night is wearing something that you feel natural and comfortable in.
Informal Casual Wear
Known as ‘Blues’ and indicated as ‘Blues & Necker’ on our programme, our casual scout wear lets everyone know you’re a Cub at West Monkton – even when you’re not in full uniform.
These can be worn alongside and instead of uniform on some events, meetings and trips particularly in the summer months where lots of activities take place outdoors.
Polo shirts & hoodies are navy blue with the our logo and West Monkton written in the new brand on the left side.
The prices of these are available on the website. We intend to order these in batches.
Both polo shirts and hoodies are worn during section meetings at the woods, camps and at events when Full Uniform is not required.
